Marcy Milks is an artist, photographer, Art Director and super cool.

My name is Marcy Milks and I have been creating things since I was little.

I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. During my childhood, I lived in the same house and attended the same neighborhood school. However, by 16 and with a love for exploration, I was travelling throughout the United Sates and Europe.

After high school, I attended the University of New York at Buffalo. I explored various disciplines including photography, design, painting, and sculpture. I met new people and was part of a distinct community of artists. In my junior year, I participated in an exchange program and studied at the University of Kent at Canterbury. In England, I studied art history and philosophy, started kickboxing, and traveled as often as possible.

After receiving my Bachelors of Fine Art, I moved to Arizona. There, I continued to explore art and photography and I was able to show my artwork in various galleries throughout Phoenix. I also started designing CD covers, posters and postcards for local musicians. During this time, I frequently trekked through the desert and started exploring started Asia.

In the fall of 2002, I returned to New York and attended Pratt Institute to continue my studies in fine art. There, conceptual and critical thought became more prevalent in how I approached my work. In addition to painting, I started to work sculpturally. In May of 2004, I received my Masters of Fine Art. Shortly after, I formally began my career in graphic design and continued to show my art.

After working in New York, I started a new adventure in New Zealand. I continue to travel, make art and I currently work as an Art Director at a design firm.
